High School

Nick Johnson attended Findlay Prep in Las Vegas for his junior and senior years. He averaged 24.8 ppg, 6.5 rpg and 4.7 apg as a senior, leading the team to a 28-4 record as a senior for coach Mike Peck. He was ranked as the No. 40 overall prospect in the country and the No. 8 shooting guard by to go with a scout grade of 96 by

Nick averaged 14.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game as a junior and lead Findlay to a 32-2 record and helped Findlay win the ESPN RISE National High School Invitational in 2010, where he averaged 12 points and three steals per game in the tournament.

Nick competed in the Boost Mobile Elite 24 All-Star Game as well as the Under Armor slam dunk contest. 

He attended Highland High School in Gilbert, Ariz., for two years before transferring to Findlay Prep. Nick was one of five high school players featured on ESPN’s Elite 24 behind-the-scenes special.

In November 2010 Nick signed a National Letter of Intent to play college basketball at the University of Arizona. 
Nick played AAU basketball for the Salvation Army, Arizona Premiere, California Supreme, and the Oakland Soldiers.  


Nick played for the University of Arizona for three years under Coach Sean Miller. The team made it to the NCAA Elite 8 during his sophomore and junior seasons.  On April 15, 2014, he declared for the NBA draft, foregoing his final year of college eligibility.

On June 26, 2014, Johnson was selected with the 42nd overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft by the Houston Rockets. On July 25, 2014, he signed with the Rockets after averaging 12.5 points per game during the 2014 NBA Summer League.  The Houston Rockets made it to the Western Conference Finals in 2015.

Nick was traded to the Denver Nuggets on July 20, 2015.

On October 24, 2015, he was waived by the Nuggets after appearing in six preseason games. On December 28, he was acquired by the Spurs organization and the Austin Spurs of the D-League.

On September 8, 2016, Johnson signed with the Orlando Magic, but was waived on October 22, 2016 after appearing in four preseason games.  

On October 29, 2016 Johnson signed with FC Bayern Munich for the remainder of the season.  In December 2016, Bayern Munich qualified for the top 16 in the Eurocup League.   On January 22, 2017 Bayern Munich qualified for the next round of the Eurocup League.
